High-level representatives of the turbomachinery industry and energy sector presented the challenges of the current and future European energy system and how innovative turbine technology can contribute to address them. Presentations were followed by a vivid panel discussion on the future role of thermal power plants as well as on potential political, economic and scientific implications which will arise from that.

FLEXTURBINE is happy to announce its public event on 25th September in Prague. Together with its sister project TURBO-REFLEX, FLEXTURBINE will present its research results and discuss with high level representatives from policy, industry and research on how the projects can contribute to the transition process towards a future low carbon energy.
The deadline for the submission of extended abstracts and full paper has been extended to 27th July 2018.
The 17th International Symposium on Transport Phenomena and Dynamics of Rotating Machinery (commonly called ISROMAC 17) took place from 16th to 21th December 2017. Some of FLEXTURBINE members were present.
